Conquer Self-Doubt:

You would have had this thought a million times. It’s not new. Its self-Doubt.

Will I be able to do it? Am I good enough? There are hundreds of people out there, who could do this work much better than what I could accomplish. Maybe my knowledge is not enough to crack this exam. Maybe I am not fit to work in this organization. Maybe I am not a good parent. Am I a prefect spouse? We all are filled with maybes and what ifs. It’s completely normal to give in to those questions and fret over failing.

There is this constant demeaning voice echoing in your head. Don’t listen to that self-sabotaging voice. Every time that voice creeps in, turn down its volume by assuring yourself that you are capable. The way to eradicate self-doubt is to improve your self-confidence.

Mirror Practice:

Stand in front of mirror and practice saying that you are capable to your reflection. Nobody knows you better than you do. Say your dream or goal to yourself every morning. The universe is more powerful it will make ways for you to attain your dream.

There is no rule book for living. We create our own rules.

Word power:

Nope, it’s not the ‘Word Power’ book albeit that’s useful. It’s how you articulate about yourself to others. Some of us have this tendency to be melancholic about our living and talk about our owes to kith and kin. No wrong in that, but it creates a negative aura around us repelling the good energy from universe and attracting more disastrous and dreadful events in life. For a change, let’s talk about happy and good things in our life. Words have that effect around us. Talk positive calming words at all times. It will provide you the strength to endure and overcome your tribulation.

Positive Thought Process:

Only when we think positive thoughts so the same will reflect in your words. I agree there is analytical reasoning and critical thinking involved when we dream about our future which will question your confidence in turn will evolve as self-doubt. So, to begin with, dream without the fear of failure. Vision yourself as the person you want to be. Don’t involve your reasoning capabilities and believe in that dream completely. It could be the subconscious power or the universe but your dream will come true.

Self-Analysis:

When do we get self-doubt?

When we don’t get expected results.

 Be it in an organization or being a parent. We have to make sure we have adequate knowledge for us to reach the desired result. Now, self -analyzing comes into picture.

Instead of blaming others for our situation lets analyze whether are we capable to hold the responsibilities and accomplish work efficiently. When we turn into ourselves, we will see lot of shortcomings in our behavior and capability.

Decide the self-improvement mission in your life. It can be anything, attain specific weight, spend quality time with kids, meditation, equipping your skillset, etc.

Create a plan and stick to it. Acting as per plan is not only a way of discipline but will also enhance your self-confidence.

Viola! Improved self-confidence eliminates self-doubt.

  1. I like the part about taking things into your own hands instead of blaming others. My own self-doubt comes from not doing the hard things, or avoidance. Every time I avoid hard things—like a confrontation or doing the work needed to reach my goals—I grow that much more doubtful.

    But we each have our paths to learn, so here’s to everyone finding theirs!
